Trump threatens to attack Iran's pickax mountain

US President Donald Trump has warned of the attack on the Iranian nuclear facility ‘Peakax’ mountains, saying that the United States could ‘soon’ the Picxx attack on the Picxx, according to a report by Al-Jazeera.

Earlier, Trump termed the ongoing US military operation against Iran as a ‘separate’ attack, while also hinting at the attack on the important installations surrounding Iran's nuclear program. Trump termed the ongoing war as a relatively ‘minor’, saying that 18 Americans have been killed in the war with Iran where nearly 100,000 US citizens were killed in the Vietnam War.

The Peakex Mountains are locally known as ‘Kuh-e Kolang Gaz La’ in Iran, which is located near the country's massively damaged Natanz Uranium enrichment structure, with two deep underground tunnel complexes inside the hill.

Excavations began in the area around 2020. Later, a large underground structure was built several hundred meters below the solid granite stone level, according to Western intelligence and analysts working on the prevention of nuclear weapons, Iran was trying to build a secret uranium enrichment center there, according to them, it could have been a ‘strategic alternative’ for Iran's nuclear program.

But Iran has claimed in the past that this structure in the mountains is not for enrichment of uranium, but instead of being built in centrifuges.

Earlier in July he had threatened to attack the Peakeux Mountains as well Trump said in an interview with The Hue Hewitt Show at the time that the US would destroy the Piccax mountain and be ready, and said that the attack could be carried out soon.

The biggest concern with the Peakex Mountains is its depth, according to the assessment of weapons experts, that the underground tunnels built deep in the mountains are so protected that even the most powerful ‘bunker-buster’ bombs of the US military may not be effectively hit by them.

As a result, if Trump's latest threat becomes a reality, there may be new questions about Iran's nuclear infrastructure as well as the ability to attack underground facilities. There are fears that the conflict may intensify.
