Veer Muktijodha Bhata is now in Sonali Bank

From now Sonali Bank will process the honorarium of brave freedom fighters instead of Upazila Social Service Office. For this, the allowance distribution policy has been amended. The Ministry of Liberation Affairs has informed this information in a press release on Saturday.

According to the circular, an online training workshop was held for the officers of the state-owned Sonali Bank to facilitate the distribution of allowances to the brave freedom fighters. Liberation War Affairs Minister AKM Mozammel Haque inaugurated the workshop. At that time Secretary of Ministry of Liberation War Affairs Khawaja Miah, Managing Director of Sonali Bank Ataur Rahman Pradhan and managers of all branches of the bank were connected virtually.

The minister said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, like all sectors, brave freedom fighters have also come under digital services. Meanwhile, all the allowances of the freedom fighters are being sent directly to the bank accounts in the GUP (Government to Person) system. As a result, the freedom fighters no longer have to go to the upazila social service office for the allowance process.
