Protests are taking place in several places against a writer, Samad Ahmed, and his book, “Faith & Covid 19” (Faith & Covid 19) published by Boshonto Prokashoni, Dhaka. The writer claims Coronavirus has established that religions like Islam are man-made. Protesters claim the book is against Islam. They are demanding all sale of the book to be immediately stopped. They want immediate action by the police, threatening that if the authorities do not take action they will burn down the publisher’s office. They want the writer to be executed in public.
