The government will buy paddy at 27 taka and rice at 40 taka

Food Minister Sadhan Chandra Majumdar said that in the current Boro season, 1.1 million tons of boiled rice and 6 lakh tons of paddy will be bought from the mill owners in the past.
In the current Boro season, the government will buy this paddy and rice from the domestic market, and the collection of paddy and rice will start from April 28.
Food Minister Sadhan Chandra Majumdar gave this information in a virtual press conference on the occasion of the upcoming Boro collection program on Monday (April 26).
He said, ‘10 lakh tons of boiled rice at the rate of Tk 40 per kg, rice at Tk 39 at the rate of 39 taka per kg and paddy at the rate of Tk 27 per kg from the farmers.’
He said, ‘The virtual meeting of the Food Planning and Distribution Committee was held on April 22. How many decisions are incomplete and policy problems have not been possible. The decision has been made and the Prime Minister has approved the decision.’
Last year, the food minister said that it was decided to buy paddy at the rate of Tk 26 per kg, boiled rice at Tk 36 and Atap rice at Tk 35 per kg during the Boro season.
