Sri Lankan President to resign on July 13

Sri Lankan President Gotabata Rajapaksa has announced that he will resign on Wednesday (July 13), according to the UK media BBC news, which confirmed the information of Sri Lankan Parliament Speaker Mahinda Itapa Abevardhane.

He said that President Gotabata told him this. Earlier on Saturday, the protesters attacked Gotabata Rajapaksa Bai, which was vandalized there. The video of the incident has gone viral, which shows that the protesters are swimming in the swimming pool of the President's residence.

The president was not at his residence, but the protests could go out of control on Saturday, based on information that the president was taken to the army headquarters on Friday night.
