Planning Minister MA Mannan's mobile phone was stolen from the capital's Bijoy Sarani area. A robber snatched the iPhone from the Planning Minister while he was sitting in his car and fled.
The minister made these remarks after briefing reporters after the ECNEC meeting at the NEC conference room at the Planning Commission on Tuesday (June 1). The minister said, "My son bought the phone from America for $1,000. There was also a flag in my car. Still, the robbers took the mobile phone."
According to Planning Minister MA Mannan, on Sunday evening (May 30), I was browsing in my car on Bijoy Sarani on my way from the Planning Ministry. Suddenly, before I could realize anything, someone ran over with a mobile phone.
He said, "The car window was open. At that time, the phone was snatched. Due to my concentration on browsing, it took a few seconds to realize what had happened. Later, I told the police gunman in the car that my mobile phone was taken. A case has been filed after the incident. The phone has not been recovered yet. The police are investigating."
The Planning Minister said, "The gunman stopped the car and chased after the robber, but could not catch him." The minister's assistant private secretary Md. Masum Billah said, "A general diary (GD) has been filed at Kafrul Police Station in this regard."
