7,000 illegal gas connections disconnected in Sonargaon

Titus Gas Authority has disconnected 7000 illegal gas connections in Sonargaon of Naratanganj.

On Tuesday (September 13) from morning to afternoon, the operation was conducted in Chanderkirti area of Vaidyar upazila of the upazila.

Executive Magistrate and Sonargaon Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) Md. The operation led by Ibrahim led to the disconnection of seven thousand illegal residential connections, which had spread over seven kilometers in an area, while the mobile court of the upazila administration seized a large amount of illegal pipelines and risers.

Assistant Commissioner (Land) Md. Ibrahim said that illegal connections are being disconnected to provide services to legitimate customers and the operation will continue.

Deputy General Manager of Sonargaon Regional Marketing Department of Titus. Suruj Alam said that the pipeline of seven thousand illegal residential connections spread in about seven kilometers of some villages of Baidy Bazar Union has been disconnected.
