Lakshmipur's Meghna banks are inundated with tides

Due to the impact of low pressure in the full moon and sea, the area of Ramgati in Lakshmipur, Kamalnagar, Laxmipur Sadar and Meghna in Ratpur upazila has been flooded with an area of at least 60 km.
At least 30-40 villages in Jotare have damaged crops, roads, houses and fish enclosures. The water started to rise from 12 noon on Wednesday (August 5) but in the evening, the locals have known that the water has started to flow.

noon Kamalnagar Upazila Chairman Mejbah Uddin Ahmed Bappi visited the flooded area in Jotar.
Chalman Chattef Ullah of Char Kalkini Uniton Parishad (UP) of Kamalnagar Upazila said that the flood has disappeared in the Meghna river for one year and has disappeared in the Meghna river. As soon as the water in the river rises, all those villages are flooded.
