Financial assistance checks from the Prime Minister's Relief and Welfare Fund have been distributed among the victims and sick people of various accidents in Lakshmipur. The checks were distributed by the Lakshmipur District Administration on Monday (July 6) morning at the Collectorate Bhaban premises by the chief guest and Lakshmipur District Commissioner Anjan Chandra Pal.
The event, chaired by Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Mohammad Shafiuzzaman Bhuiyan and moderated by Executive Magistrate Md. Rajib Hossain, was attended by Nezarat Deputy Collector Md. Boni Amin, Assistant Commissioner and Executive Magistrate Ripa Moni Devi, Raipur Municipal Sramik League President Md. Jewel Mridha, among others.
It is learnt that people affected by various accidents and attacks in Lakshmipur, with the help of Lakshmipur District Awami League President Mia Mohammad Golam Faruk Pinku, appealed to the Prime Minister for financial assistance for their treatment. Following this, cheques of various amounts including 50,000 taka for Jahangir Alam of Sonapur Union No. 4 of Raipur Upazila, 30,000 taka for Najir Molla of Union No. 10, and 1 lakh taka for Mohiuddin Babar of Ward No. 3 of the same Upazila, were distributed among 26 people in the district for treatment from the Prime Minister's Relief and Welfare Fund.
