A youth on a motorcycle was shot dead by miscreants in Ramu
A young man riding a motorcycle was killed by miscreants in Ramu, Cox's Bazar, who has been injured in the incident. The incident took place in the Majhirkata Beltali area of Gorjanita Unit of the upazila on Sunday afternoon.
The deceased Mohammad Irfan (20) is the son of Shafiul Alam Qutub of Islampur area of Sadar Unit of Naikshyongchai upazila, one of the injured is the son of deceased Mohammad Islam of Shahinur Rahman Majhirkata area but the name and identity of the other injured person is known.
Regarding the locals, Ramu police station OC Anonor Hossain said that in the afternoon, Mohammad Irfan, Shaheen and four people from Naikshyongcha upazila headquarters were given to Beltali Paha area of the village. The miscreants shot them from the forest area and injured three of the motorcycle riders who were injured in the area where the locals rescued the injured and went to the Naikshyongchai Upazila Health Complex where a doctor declared a person named Mohammad Irfan dead.
The OC said that the work has started to identify the reasons for the incident. The body has been sent to Cox's Bazar District Headquarters Hospital morgue for investigation.
Immediately after the incident, local Gorjanita Unit, member Mohammad Mohiuddin told a press conference that the movement of terrorists in the area has gone out. The general public is concerned about the incident of the shooting, he urged the law enforcement agencies to ensure public safety.
