Mitu murder: Three accused banned from traveling abroad

The court has banned the foreign travel of three accused in Chittagong by the Chittagong Metropolitan Magistrate Mehnaz Rahman's virtual court on Monday. Kamrul Islam Shikdar Musa, Ehteshamul Haque Bhola and Khatarul Islam Kalu are on the verge of bail.
The investigation officer of the case, Inspector Santosh Kumar Chakma, told Ittefaq, Inspector of Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI), that five of the eight accused in the Mitu murder case are currently in jail. The remaining three are absconding. I have applied to the court on July 5 after the foreign travel ban.
On June 5, 2016, Mahmuda Akhter Mitu was shot and stabbed to death by miscreants near the gate of OR Nizam Road residential area of Panchlaish police station in the city on the way to take her son to a school bus. In this incident, her husband, former Superintendent of Police Babul Akhtar, filed a murder case in the court last May. Babul Akhtar is currently in Feni jail through the court arrested.
