Dhaka's first mayor, Barrister Abul Hasnat, passes away

Dhaka's first metro barrister Abul Hasnat has passed away (Inna-Lillahi and Inna Ilaihi Rajiun) in London on Friday (September 16) at 5 am.
Barrister Abul Hasnat was the mater of Dhaka City Corporation from 1977 to 1982. In 1990, he was again elected as the metro of Dhaka City Corporation.
When the then President Geeur Rahman founded the BNP, he was the first committee member of the H. Ershad, while serving as President of Justice Abdus Satta, and was the Minister of Public Works and Public Works. After the fall of Ershad, Barrister Hasnat joined the BNP again and became a member of the Strateg Committee.
Hasnat, a senior Supreme Court lawyer, went to the UK in 2019. He was unable to return to the country due to coronavirus infection. Hasnat was undergoing treatment for old age complications in London.
