Farmers affected in Vietnamese coconut plantations
The agriculture department has been affected by the coconut plantation and has been affected by the agriculture department. The agriculture department has promised that the yield will be in 3 years, but the fruit has not been achieved in 5 years.
After returning from abroad in 2017, Shariful Islam planted a coconut tree in the land of Des Bigha in Raghunathpur village of Kaliganj upazila after seeing the social media campaign. He hoped not to go abroad again in 3 years. But he did not get the yield even in 4 years and again in the pursuit of livelihood, his garden has not yet come to the ground.
Similarly, the trees of Shivnagar in the same upazila have been cut down by Surat Ali of the same upazila. Even the trees of the exhibition of the horticulture center did not bear fruit. They complained that the agriculture department and the horticulture center were planted with cooperation.
However, due to lack of adequate care, the crops are not yielding, the agriculture department claims that the crops are not coming, but the yield is not coming.
According to the information of the Agriculture Department, 6 upazilas of Jhenaidah have planted coconut trees at about two thousand and one hundred.
