Recommended to take measures to prevent pollution of Bujiganga and Dhaleswari

It has been recommended to take quick action from the Ministry of Shipping Standing Committee on Ministry of Shipping and Buganga and Dhaleswari river pollution. It is recommended to meet the standing committee meeting held at the parliament building.

The president of the committee is retired Major Bir Uttam Rafiqul Islam, the member of the committee, Minister of State for Naval Khalid Mahmud Chowdhury, Md. Mazharul Haque Pradhan and M Abdul Latif participated in the meeting.

The meeting started with deep respect to the martyrs who died on August 15 on the occasion of the National Mourning Day and the 47th martyrdom anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

The committee recommends considering the future action plan of Mongla Port on the 3D map. Dumping of soil and sand at the acquired site and the report of the expansion of the border expansion of Mongla Port in the near future.

Also, the meeting will be discussed about various development projects undertaken by the Mongla Port Authority and its real progress.

Secretary of the Ministry of Shipping, Additional Secretary and Joint Secretary, Chairman of Mongla Port Authority, Ministry of Shipping and related officials of the Parliament Secretariat were present in the meeting.
