After a two-day break on Friday and Saturday, the second meeting of the ongoing budget session of the National Assembly is being held today at 11 am on Sunday. According to the sources of the Parliament Secretariat, the supplementary budget will be discussed today according to the agenda of the day.
In addition to the introduction of four bills, there are plans to present the reports of several parliamentary committees related to the bills. The supplementary budget is expected to be passed after the discussion on Monday.
The thirteenth session of the current eleventh parliament started last Wednesday. It is the third budget session of the ongoing parliament. Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal presented the budget proposal for the fiscal year 2021-22 in the Parliament on Thursday. According to the Parliament Secretariat sources, the session may be adjourned for a week after the meeting of the Parliament tomorrow. After that, the session can be held on 14, 15, 16, 17, 28, 29 and 30 June and 1 July. Among these, the proposed budget will be discussed on June 14, 15, 16, 17 and 28. On June 29, the final discussion of the main budget and the passage of the money bill will take place. And on Wednesday, June 30, the main budget and specification bill will be passed. Apart from this, question and answer session, introduction of private bills, passage of government bills and session may end on Thursday, July 1.
