Baby drowning in pond in Balikandi

A child named Orthi Sarkar Tuktuki (2) has died in Balikandi district of Rajbai district.

On Monday (September 19) around 12 noon, he was taken to Balikandi Sadar Hospital where the doctor on duty declared him dead.

The family members of the deceased child said that the child went to the nearby pond to play while playing the family members.

Moollik, the neighbor of the deceased child, said that while he went down to bathe in the pond, I got hit on my leg when I got into the water.

Balikandi Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer Dr. Nasir Uddin said that the child died before coming to the hospital, and the family went to the house after the family.
