BJP to become a Muslim lawmaker in parliament

The BJP has no Muslim lawmakers in the Indian parliament, according to Al-Jazeera.

This is the first time in the history of the BJP that the party is becoming devoid of Muslim lawmakers in parliament.

The party leader Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi resigned from the cabinet of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday, who was the minority minister of the central government, a member of the Rajya Sabha, the Rajya Sabha is ending his election on Thursday, with the BJP becoming the first parliamentarian in its history.

The BJP has 400 MPs in the Parliament of India, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's cabinet for 64 years, Naqvi was the only Muslim minister.

After Naqvi's resignation, the 46-year-old Smriti Irani, who has been in politics from Abhinya, has won the title of Minority Minister, who is also a Rajya Sabha lawmaker.

However, Nakvi was in talks before his resignation, which is rumored to be the BJP's considering his next vice presidential candidate.

The BJP has faced global criticism over the anti-Islamic comments of the two leaders, in such a context that the party is considering the poison of a Muslim candidate for vice president.
