Poacher arrested with deer meat in Patharghata

A deer hunter named Sarwar (55) was arrested by the locals while smuggling it to the police at Patharghata in Barguna.

He was arrested by local people from Charduani market of the upazila at around 5 am on Thursday along with the deer meat, the son of deceased Safiz Uddin Howladar of Patharghata village.

Patharghata police station OC Abul Bashar confirmed the truth of the incident and said that while smuggling from Sundarbans, 1 smuggler along with slaughtered deer meat was caught by the local people and informed to the police station, we seized the meat of the deer and brought it to the police station.
