Beat policing rally in Chandraganj against rape and torture

‘A bit policing rally was held in Chandraganj of Nyata Lakshmipur across the country with the slogan ’Safe country, stop torture women'.

Additional Superintendent of Police (Sadar Circle) Mimtanur Rahman spoke as the chief guest on Saturday (October 17) at 11 am in Chandraganj UP premises.

Acting Chairman of the local UP Zakir Hossain Jahangir spoke in the meeting among others - Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Chandraganj Police Station. Jasim Uddin, President of Chandraganj Press Club. Ali Hossain, Deputy General Secretary of Chandraganj Bazar Committee Gautam Majumdar, UP member Obatadul Haque Patari and Chhatra League leader Kazi Mamunur Rashid Bablu etc.

Eminent people from the area, including students, UP members and women members of various schools and colleges, were present, and later a rally was taken out against the rape and torture of women.

The speakers said that violence against women and rape is a social disease, which should be used to raise the law against it and raise social resistance.
