28 stranded Bangladeshi sailors have returned home from Bucharest, the capital of Romania. They returned home on a Turkish Airlines flight after 12 noon on Wednesday. Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport Executive Director Group Captain AHM Tauhid ul Ahsan confirmed this.
Before that, they left for the country from Bucharest, the capital of Romania, at 2:30 local Tuesday night.
Their flight landed in Dhaka via Istanbul-Dubai today.
These 28 sailors were working in the prosperity of Bengal. The ship was crippled by a bomb attack in the port of Olvia, Ukraine. Hadisur Rahman, the third engineer of the ship, died at the same time.
Hadisur Rahman's body has some procedures left to return to the country. It is not possible to bring it together. After completing the process, his body will be brought back to the country soon.
