A.League and Jubo League leaders lost their lives in Chittagong

Two people were killed in a head-on collision between a lorry and a private car in Chittagong. Two people were injured and the accident took place at Port Link Road area of Pahatali police station in the city on Monday evening.

The deceased are Mohammad Nasir (40) son of Fakirbair Abdur Rob of Banshbai village of Sitakunda upazila and Kamal Uddin (41) of the same area. Nasir Otarard is the general secretary of Awtami League and general secretary of Kamal Otarard Jubo League.

The injured are Banshbai Unit Council member Ismail Hossain (65) and Banshbai Istan Awami League President Ariful Alam Chowdhury Raju (40).

Pahatali police station OC Mustafizur Rahman told Samakal, ‘For four people were injured in a head-on collision between a truck and a private car on Sagarika Port Link Road. They were rescued and went to the hospital. Among them, one died in Chittagong Medical College Hospital and one died in a private Imperial Hospital. Two others are under treatment.’
