12 pirates arrested with weapons from sea and coast in Chittagong

RAB has arrested 12 pirates with weapons from the Bangalore coast of the Bay of Bengal and from the Banskhali coast of Chittagong, which has been seized from the pirates, looted, hilsa fish, fishing water and boats used for robbery.

Pirates were arrested in a 48-hour operation on Friday (September 9) and Saturday (September 10).

RAB-7 Lt. Col. MA Yusuf gave this information in a press conference on Saturday (September 10).

He said that a boat, fishing net, three shotguns, a Chinese quench, 16 dais and knives, 70 mobiles, cash and other equipment were recovered from the pirates.

The RAB official also said that the pirates recently robbed 16 fishing boats.
