Two people fined in Lakshmipur for not complying with quarantine instructions

In Lakshmipur, the traveling court has fined two people from Saudi Arabia and Qatar and warned two others for not following the instructions of home quarantine. On Thursday afternoon, Saudi and Qatar Ferat of Chandipur and Fatehpur villages of Ramganj Upazila were fined. Ramganj Upazila Executive Officer Muntasir Jahan managed the mobile court.

The convicts are Abu Noman Muhammad Masum from Saudi Arabia of Fatehpur village and Imam Uddin Munsi Barir of Chandipur. Lytton. Also warned South Hajipur village Md. Yusuf and Jamalpur Bepari Bari Md. Salim warned Salim 20 days and Md. Yusuf came back from abroad 1 month ago.

Muntasir Jahan, the Executive Officer of Ramganj Upazila, said that monitoring was conducted at the homes of 4 people who returned from abroad in South Hajipur, Fatehpur, Jamalpur, Madhya Chandipur areas. As per the government instructions, the returnees and their families are supposed to stay in home quarantine. But two of these four went out of the market after 3/4 days so both of them were fined Rs.20,000 as per section 269 of Penal Code 1860.

By the way, The health department has instructed 214 people who returned from different countries to stay in home quarantine in Lakshmipur. Also, the district health department has prepared a 100-bed quarantine hospital in the district and upazilas for those who are infected with corona.
