Farmers are busy cultivating aromatic varieties of rice in Kaharol

In the last week of Shravan, the desired rain will be rained. Aman farmers are now busy planting fragrant Bri Dhan-34 in Kaharol.

According to Kaharol Directorate of Agriculture, the target of 3,500 hectares of land in the upazila has been set for the current season.

Farmer Md. Mofiz Uddin said he is cultivating fragrant Bri rice-34 variety of rice in 12 bigha land while Kaharol Agricultural Officer Agriculturist Abu Zafar said. Sadek said that the agriculture department is giving all kinds of support and advice to the farmers in Aman cultivation.
