Britain may face power shortage this winter

At the beginning of this year's winter season, Britain may face power shortages, according to Huffington Post.
The Hingington Post reported that there could be three hours of load shedding a day this winter if electricity and enough gas and fuel could not be imported from Europe, according to the National Grid Authority of the country in a report on Thursday (October 6).
The British power supply authorities have learned that the country's electricity supply will be short of about 6 percent of the total demand this winter. A few days ago, the country's emergency coal-based power plants will be reopened. However, the authorities may shut down the gas-based power plants in severe winters. In that case, the country will face load shedding.
Earlier, British Prime Minister Liz Trass urged Europe to maintain energy export flows in the coming winter.
