In Bagerhat, the cropland in the rainwater has been raised in the rainwater cultivation. At the end of the season, the farmers have a yellow color due to the lack of water.<\/p>\n

In various fields of Putimari in Bagerhat Sadar Upazila and Shitakathi village of Kachuta upazila, water has been seen in the ground, and water has been seen in the field where the paddy fields prepared for planting paddy have accumulated 12 to 15 inches of water. The farmer is planting rice seedlings in the water.<\/p>\n

Ruthul Amin, a farmer of Shitakathi village in Kachuta upazila of Kachuta upazila of Bagerhat district, said that in the last years, their Aman paddy planting work was completed in the last week of August. But this year due to rain, he could not plant rice seedlings in all his land. Even the four bighas of the land were gaped in the last week.<\/p>\n

Bagerhat Agriculture Extension Directorate Deputy Director Azizur Rahman said that due to lack of water, 40 percent of the district target was uncultivated in the last stage of the season due to lack of water. The planting target was not achieved and the crop was feared. But the fear of the rain has passed.<\/p>\n

According to the Department of Agriculture, 3,27 mm of rainfall was recorded in Bagerhat in four months from May to August in 2021, and 2,530 from May to August this year.<\/p>\n

As such, 489 mm of rain was low, while 161.4 mm of rain was recorded from September 10 to September 15.<\/p>\n

This year, this year, the target of Aman paddy cultivation has been set at 74 thousand 425 hectares. So far, 70,703 hectares of paddy have been planted on the land, so 95 percent of the land has been planted.<\/p>\n

This year, the target of 266,980 metric tons of Aman paddy production has been set. The agriculture department said that two lakh 44 thousand 328 farming families have been set up.<\/p>\n
