In order to facilitate the payment of salary and bonus on the occasion of Eid al-Adha, it has been decided to keep the banks open on Friday and Saturday. Instructions in this regard have been sent to the Chief Executive of the Scheduled Bank on Sunday (July 3).<\/p>\n

According to the information of the instructions, to facilitate payment of salary and bonus and other allowances in various institutions related to garment industry before Eid, the apparel industry related branches of Tafsili Bank located in Dhaka Metropolitan, Ashulita, Tongi, Gazipur, Savar, Naratanganj and Chittagong have been ordered to open full day on July 8 and 9.<\/p>\n

These two days, Bangladesh Bank's clitering system will continue for two days, but for the sake of proper management of the clitering system, checks cannot be made on any bank branch outside the said area.<\/p>\n

The instructions further stated that banks have been instructed to set up booths to identify fake notes in the market of sacrificial animals. Till the night before Eid, it has been instructed to provide free note verification services non-stop.<\/p>\n
