Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Ramiz Raja has given good news to Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan, Haris Rauf, Shaheen Shah Afridi. Their salaries are increasing. At the same time, Pakistani cricketers will be given additional allowances even if they do not play in franchise leagues in different countries.<\/p>\n

The PCB will announce the new central contracts for cricketers next month. At a press conference in Lahore today, the PCB chairman said that the salaries and allowances of the players who come under the new central contracts will be increased significantly.<\/p>\n

The Pakistan Board of Governors has confirmed a grant of Rs 1,500 crore to the PCB for the 2022-23 financial year. 78 percent of this amount will be spent on cricket activities. The PCB said in a statement, "It is part of the PCB's strategy to motivate high-performing cricketers with incentives and rewards. On July 1, the PCB will announce separate central contracts for white-ball and red-ball cricket. This time, the number of players in the central contract will be increased from 20 to 33, the PCB has also said. The match fee will be increased by 10 percent in all formats. The match fee of players who did not play in the match will also be increased by 50 to 70 percent.<\/p>\n

Separate incentives will be provided for team leaders or players who carry out additional responsibilities. Regarding additional incentives for players who receive offers to play in leagues from different countries, PCB Chairman Ramiz said, "We encourage our top players not to play in additional leagues during the holidays. We think the players will spend their holidays better if they do not go to those leagues. We will give them 50 to 60 percent of the rupees they receive in those leagues."<\/p>\n

Ramiz also explained why the PCB wants to take such an initiative, "We have a very important season ahead of us. We don't want our players to lose energy and get tired. We want them to be fresh to play for the national team, that's what we want."<\/p>\n
