Retired Justice Nazmun Ara Sultana of the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court has been appointed as Director General of the Judicial Administration Training Institute. The government has issued a notification regarding its appointment from the Law and Justice Department of the Law Ministry on Wednesday.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Justice Nazmun Ara Sultana joined the judiciary as the first woman judge of the country on December 20, 1975 as Munsef (Assistant Judge) and was promoted to the judicial judge step by step. After that, when Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina formed the government for the first time, she was appointed as the first woman judge of the High Court in 2000. She was appointed as the first woman judge of the Appellate Division in 2011. She was appointed as the first woman judge of the Appellate Division on July 7, 2017. She also retired as the first woman director of the Judicial Administration Training Institute.<\/p>\n
