Senior Congress leader and MLA from Karnataka, India, KR Ramesh Kumar, has made extremely offensive comments about rape in the state assembly.<\/p>\n

Ramesh apologized a few hours later in a Twitter post after his remarks sparked widespread outrage. He wrote, "I sincerely apologize to everyone for my comments on rape. My intention was not to glorify the heinous crime. I will choose my words carefully from now on."<\/p>\n
