Two youths named Ismail Bakshi (26) and Main Uddin (30) were arrested and handed over to the police in Lakshminarayanpur area of Noakhali district town Maijdi. They were arrested on Wednesday (June 10) around 2 pm from local driver Rashid's house.<\/p>\n

The arrested are Ismail Bakshi, son of Ali Haider Bakshi, Chairman of Underchar Union Parishad of Sadar Upazila and his associate Main Uddin of the same area.<\/p>\n

According to local sources, a group of youths were rehearsing by dividing into several groups in the area since morning. Around 1:30 pm, two young men drove to the house of local BCL activist Abdulyah Al Mamun with a motorcycle.<\/p>\n

When the locals suspected the matter, they arrested the two youths. Later they opened a handbag on their motorcycle and found three LGs.<\/p>\n

Chhatra League worker. Abdulya Al Mamun said that these two have been roaming around the area since morning to kill him. The local people found out and called him (Mamun) and arrested the two and handed them over to the district detective police.<\/p>\n

District Detective Police OC Md. Kamruzzaman Sikdar said that preparations are underway to file a case under the Arms Act against the two people arrested with weapons. After filing the case, they will be handed over to the court.<\/p>\n
