Barthi Unit BNP meeting of the local Jubo League leaders and workers of Gournadi Upazila of Barisal has been accused of attacking the locals at around 8:00 pm on Monday night. The attack took place during the meeting in Aminul Islam's Ba'i meeting, after the police reached the spot and arrested 12 leaders and workers of BNP and its affiliated organizations.
The arrested leaders and workers are the president of Barthi Uniton BNP. Aminul Islam (47), organizing secretary. Ruhul Gazi (50), Organizing Secretary of Otard BNP. Montu Khan (45), Barthi Unit Youth Dal former co-editor Kaitum Khan (38), Uniton Juba Dal worker Md. Enatet Hossain (32), Zafar Khan (33), Saiful Islam (30), Rezaul Molla (34), Samiul Bepari (30), Uniton Chhatra Dal worker Akash Khandkar (26), Md. Munna Ahmed (24) and Ikhtitar Talukdar (36).
