Zayed Khan held a gun to my chest, says Poppy

Actress Sadika Parveen Poppy's video interview with a private television channel went viral on social media overnight, alleging that actor Zayed Khan had held a pistol to her chest.

In that video call on Thursday night, Poppy said, 'Zayed Khan borrowed money from me to buy a pistol. He bought the pistol with that money. I was shooting at a place, when I went to the shooting, he said he had something to say, something urgent. After finishing the shooting, I sat in the car.

"He suddenly fired a shot past my ear. I was very scared, I'm not used to seeing this."

After a while, Zayed Khan allegedly pressed the barrel of the pistol against Poppy's chest. Complaining like this, Poppy said, 'He pressed the barrel of the pistol against Poppy's chest and said, there's no need to make a big fuss, do as much work as you can and get out of the film. He kept threatening me in various ways. He threatened my brothers and sisters. My younger brother said that a case would be filed against him and he would be hanged in different places. The sisters are not married, they will also have problems.'

Asked whether she had contacted anyone about this, Poppy said, "Yes, I had contacted them. Some people are moving forward, some are not. The industry has been taken to a state of total domination. They are intimidating everyone, the administration is in their hands. If something happens, they scare the administration, if something happens, they scare the police. They scare the court. I am actually a girl. I came here to work. My profession is acting, not fighting with anyone. I have never partyed or chatted. I am a family-oriented person, I finished work and went home."
Poppy also said that he informed senior artists about these incidents. Even Misha Saudagar was among them.

"I spoke to the seniors, they told me straight, we don't know about these things. At that moment, I felt like the film industry was without a guardian. I didn't get anyone to support me at that time. I told many journalists that I was being victimized by politics. I even told Misha Bhai. I told everyone in our committee. When the issues became known, Misha Bhai said, Zayed, you should apologize to Poppy. He apologized to me in front of the people with folded hands, saying, 'Yes, I did these things and I won't do them again.'"
