A writ has been filed in the High Court to compensate the families of each of the workers who were killed in a fire incident in Rupganj of Naratanganj and 35 lakhs to each of the injured.
Law and Arbitration Center (ASC), Bangladesh Legal Aid and Services Trust, Bangladesh Environmental Lawyers Association (BELA) and Safety The writ petition will be filed on behalf of the Rights Society on Saturday (July 10).

Justice M Inatetur Rahim's single virtual High Court bench has been kept for hearing on Sunday, according to the Law and Arbitration Center lawyer Md. Shahinuzzaman.
He said that if there is an urgent request in the coronavirus pandemic situation as per the Supreme Court's directive, it should be sent to the Registrar General of the Supreme Court for hearing, which is why the writ petition was sent to the Registrar General on Saturday night.
This lawyer said that he will be present at the hearing, lawyers Anik and Haque, Sara Hossain and Saita Rizwana Hasan.

Labor and Employment Secretary, Home Secretary, Bangladesh Bank, Inspector General of Police, Rajdhani Development Authority, DIG (Dhaka Range), Naratanganj District Commissioner and Superintendent of Police, Rupganj Upazila Nirbahi Officer, Police Station OC, Civil Surgeon, Facer Service, Hasem Foods Limited and Managing Director of Hashem Foods Limited have been made a defendant in the writ.
In the application, the fire incident has been sought to compensate the families of each of the victims and pay Tk 35 lakh to the injured workers.

Among them, the application has been sought for the instructions of giving 10 lakhs to the families of each of the killed workers and 5 lakhs for the injured as interim compensation.
In this writ application, Hashem Food Limited and its Managing Director Md. Abul Hashem and other members of his family have also been asked for instructions to Bangladesh Bank to identify the bank accounts and seize them.

On Thursday evening, Hashem Foods factory in Rupganj, Naratan, fired at the factory and killed more than half a hundred workers.
This case has been filed with section 302, alleging that he was killed in the fire.
The owner of the case is the factory. The police have arrested eight people including Abul Hashem and his four sons and taken into custody for questioning.
