Joint General Secretary of Awami League and Minister of Information and Broadcasting Dr. Hasan Mahmud said that it is wrong to keep BNP chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia out of jail by showing her magnanimity towards her.
He made this comment during a courtesy meeting with the newly elected committee of Bangladesh Secretary Reporters Forum in the meeting room of the Ministry on Monday (July 5).
The information minister said that despite not being granted bail by the court or not being found innocent by the court, he has been kept out of prison by the magnanimity that he seems to be wrong. Now we have to reconsider it and whether Begum Khaleda Zia will actually be returned to jail again as per the law.
Secretary of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, BSRF President Tapan Biswas, General Secretary Masudul Haque, Vice President Motahar Hossain, Deputy General Secretary Mehdi Azad Masum, Organizing Secretary Saifullah Sumon, Training and Research Secretary Tawhidul Islam, Office Secretary Moshkaet Mashrek, Publicity and Publication Secretary Baharam Khan and executive members were also present.
