Brazil reached the semi-finals of the ongoing Copa America with a convincing win over strong Chile. They won 1-0 in the quarter-final match held in Rio de Janeiro on Saturday (July 3). The hosts were reduced to ten men after receiving red cards in the match.
Brazil didn't score a goal in the first half against Chile. They scored after the break. Super sub Lucas Paqueta scored in the 46th minute of the match to give the team the lead.
However, the hosts were left feeling very uneasy after conceding the goal. In the 48th minute, Brazil's Gabriel Jesus was sent off after seeing a straight red card. Tite's men had to play with ten men for the rest of the match. But Chile did not score a goal even against ten-man Brazil.
Paqueta's goal changed the fate of the match, sending Brazil into the semi-finals.
