Police Service Association President Monirul, Secretary Asaduzzaman

A 121-member committee of the Bangladesh Police Service Association has been formed with Additional IG of the Special Branch of the Police Md. Monirul Islam as the president and DC of Motijheel Zone of the DB Md. Asaduzzaman as the general secretary. They were elected unopposed.

 

The 41st Annual General Meeting was held at the Bangladesh Police Auditorium in Rajarbagh, Dhaka, on Saturday morning (June 27). IGP of Police and Chief Advisor of the Association, Dr. Benazir Ahmed, was present as the chief guest.

 

The IGP said, 'Bangladesh Police Service Association is an important organization of members of the police cadre service. The association is playing a significant role in solving professional problems.' He said, 'We are celebrating the golden jubilee of independence standing in Mujib Barsho. Bangladesh has achieved a lot in the last 50 years. The Prime Minister has set the target for implementing Vision-2041. In this regard, the role of the association must be determined. The course of action must be determined according to the expectations of the state, society and the people.' He called on everyone to love the profession and fulfill their duties with pride.

 

Outgoing President DMP Commissioner Moha. Shafiqul Islam presided over the welcoming speech, and outgoing General Secretary Narayanganj Police Superintendent Mohammad Zayedul Alam delivered the welcome speech. DMP Joint Police Commissioner and Association Treasurer Md. Anisur Rahman presented the income and expenditure account for the year 2020. The meeting adopted a condolence resolution on the death of police members who sacrificed their lives due to corona infection and observed a minute of silence in their honor. Later, the association elections were held. APBN Additional IG Md. Mosharraf Hossain conducted the election as the Chief Election Commissioner. DIG AFM Masum Rabbani and DIG AYM Belalur Rahman served as two election commissioners.
