New names for two Indian types of corona delta and kappa: World Health Organization

The World Health Organization (WHO) has named the two Indian strains of the coronavirus using the Greek alphabet. The B.1.617.1 type is named Kappa and the B.1.617.2 type is named Delta. Indian media Hindustan Times reported on Monday (May 31).
