Speaking of the speaker Mufti Amir Hamza arrested

A group of Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime Unit (CTTC) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has arrested the speaker Mufti Amir Hamza for spreading extremism by misinterpreting religion in various waj mahfils.

On Monday (May 24) afternoon, Hamza was arrested in a raid at the house of Dabiravita village in Patikabari union of Kushtia Sadar upazila and was being brought from Kushtia to Dhaka.

According to CTTC sources, a person named Shakib was arrested in an attempt to attack the Sangsad Bhavan on May 5. Later, a case was filed under the Anti-Terrorism Act at Sher-e-Bangla Nagar police station, and two people named Ali Hasan and Mahmudul Hasan Gunbi were accused in the case.

According to the statement of the case, the initial interrogation from Shakib revealed that Shakib was addicted to extremism and was addicted to extremism by the alleged speakers Ali Hasan Usama, Mahmudul Hasan Gunabi, Amir Hamza, Harun Izhar etc.
