First Light Journalist Rozina Islam is being taken to Skor Hospital from Kashimpur Jail, where she will be treated and she will be treated there after testing for Coronavirus.
Rozina Islam was released from the prison at around 3 pm when the bail documents reached the Kashimpur jail authorities.
Journalist Rozina Islam was granted conditional bail in exchange for a five thousand rupees bellbond, and she was granted bail on Sunday morning (May 23. As per the conditions, journalist Rozina Islam will have to submit her passport to the court.
On Thursday (May 20) around 1:15, the Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Baki Billa will hear his bail in the virtual court. The court said that the bail was not granted that day and the order was issued by the court. Lawyers Ehsanul Haque Samaji and Prashant Kumar Karmakar participated.
The Ministry of Health detained journalist Rozina Islam for about six hours last Monday (May 17) and later handed her over to the Shahbag police station on Tuesday (May 18) at around 8:30 am, she was taken to the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) court at around 8:30 am.
On this day, the investigation officer of the case, Inspector (Investigation) Arifur Rahman Sardar of the case, applied for a five-day remand. On the other hand, his lawyer Prashant Kumar applied for his bail and after the hearing, the judge rejected his remand application and fixed Thursday for the bail hearing.
