A tragic accident in Saudi Arabia, a Bangladeshi youth named Tofatael Hossain (32) was killed. The accident took place in the country's Bahdah (Bandha) city around 1 o'clock on Monday (July 13).
The deceased Tofatael Hossain is the son of deceased Rafiqul Islam of Nagaish village (Jusal Abedin Pir Saheb) of Brahmanpaja upazila in Comilla. He was working in Saudi Arabia for a long time in search of livelihood.
According to family sources, Tofatael Hossain was working in a hospital under Al Zahrain Company in Bahdah. On the day and night of the incident, he was returning to work after breakfast during duty, and a speeding car from behind hit him hard, he was seriously injured.
After the accident, colleagues at work rescued Tofatael and rushed to a local hospital where the doctor on duty declared him dead at around 4 am.
A Bangladeshi colleague who was with Tofatel was first in the country His family was informed of the accident, and later Tofatael's brother Masud Rana confirmed the news of his death.
Masud Rana said, “We have come to know that this is a tragic accident. But how exactly the incident happened, I demand a fair and impartial investigation through the concerned authorities.”
Meanwhile, the news of Tofatale's untimely and sudden death has led to deep grief in his family, relatives and his own area. The family has informed that legal and administrative process is going on to bring the body of the deceased back to the country as soon as possible.
