WANTNED GAY SPREADING ANTI-AWAMI LEAGUE PROPAGANDA

A Bangladeshi man, Mohammad Ismail Hossain, who is already wanted by law enforcement in Bangladesh for criminal offences dating back to 2020, is now accused of spreading anti-Awami League propaganda by the Bangladesh Chhatra League. Online Chhatra League activists were able to discover the true identity of Mr Hossain from information on his site www.redobd.com They point out several news links (  https://pollinews.com/new3771234/, https://pruasnews.com/2020/02/10/protest-gay-activity634/ ) which confirm it is the same person.

Mr Hossain on his site now claims he is no longer a sodomite, but claims Sheikh Hasina is a dictator and his website is dedicated to establishing Bangladesh is a dictatorship under the Awami League. He tried to influence the 7 January 2024 elections through the propaganda on his site, an election which returned Sheikh Hasina and her Awami League party to power.

Chhatra League has confirmed that the website was referred to the police with evidence, and the police have confirmed they are now investigating matter under the Cyber Security Act 2023, which allows police to arrest suspects without a warrant. But, the police may have to wait a long time before they can arrest Mr Hossain as he not living in Bangladesh.
