A court sentenced three people, including a couple of rapes to a couple of years ago in Bagerhat, sentenced them to life imprisonment and each accused was fined Rs 1 lakh.
Bagerhat Women and Child Abuse Prevention Tribunal gave this Raat on Tuesday afternoon. The three convicts are Ajibur Rahman (50) and his wife Jahanara Begum (43) of Udankhali village of Kachuta upazila of Bagerhat and Yusuf Ali (52) of Sadar upazila.
In the case of the case, the lawyer of the state, said that on July 7, 2007, the neighbor Ajibar Rahman went to his house to eat rice to the fifth grade student of Kachuta upazila.
Abu Bakr Siddique, the investigating officer of the case and the then Officer-in-Charge (OC) of the Kachuta Thana, filed a charge sheet against three people, including a woman, on November 27 of the same year, after the court judges took the testimony of 12 people and announced the racism.
