Four people were killed in a head-on collision between a microbus and a CNG-powered auto-rickshaw in Lakshmipur. In this incident, two more people have been admitted to Noakhali General Hospital in critical condition. Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Chandraganj Police Station Jasim Uddin confirmed the incident.
The accident took place at Battali area of Laxmipur-Noakhali regional highway on Tuesday (February 25) around 7 pm. Among the 4 people killed in the accident, a CNG driver. Suman (27). The names of the other three have not been released. The deceased Suman is the son of deceased Ali Ahmed of North Majupur area of Ward No. 1 of Lakshmipur Municipality.
According to the Chandraganj police station, 6 passengers were seriously injured in the head-on collision between the microbus and the autorickshaw. The autorickshaw was shaken. On receiving the information, the police and locals rescued the injured and took them to Noakhali Sadar Hospital. 3 people died on the way.
Another person died while being taken to the hospital. Two more people have been admitted to Noakhali Sadar Hospital in a critical condition. In this regard, the supervisor of Noakhali General Hospital Dr. Khalilur Rahman said that 4 people died in the road accident. Two people are being treated under admission.
