This information was given in a press release sent by the Directorate General of Health Services on Sunday (February 20) afternoon.
With this, the number of deaths from Corona in the country has increased to 28,965. Of these, 18,499 are men and 10,446 are women. In percentage terms, 63.87 percent are men and 36.13 percent are women.
The notification further said that during the same period, 1,987 new corona patients were identified. This has increased the number of corona patients in the country to 19,33,291. During this time, 9,252 people have recovered. With this, 17,54,584 people have recovered in the country so far.

In the last 24 hours, 25,405 samples were tested. The detection rate is 7.82 percent.
Earlier, on Saturday (February 19), 13 people died of coronavirus in the country. In addition, 2,150 patients were identified.
According to Worldometer, a website that keeps statistics on corona infections and deaths, as of 9:30 am on Sunday (February 20), Bangladesh time, a total of 423.718 million people have been infected with corona in the world and the death toll has stood at 5.9815. And 348.710 million people have recovered.
