Even after 22 hours, it is not possible to rescue Shishu Sajid in the Tanore hole of Rajshahi. Before that, on Wednesday around 1:00 pm, he suddenly fell into a deep hole while playing in the field of the paddy field of the upazila.
The initial stage of rescue operations in the five units of the fire service was not possible without removing the soil with excavators in the area. According to the decision, the excavator was being searched to rescue the little Sajid. But the high capacity excavator was not available. Even after searching the entire Tanor upazila, no excavator was found. Finally, at around 8 o'clock in the night, two excavators were brought from the nearby upazila Mohanpur and started excavating the fire service.
Locals said the child was on Wednesday at 1:00 pm It fell into the hole, but it was 8:00 pm when the excavator arrived at the scene.
A local named Raisul said, "working with two small excavators is started, but at the beginning, if If the work could have been started with a big excavator, the rescue workers could have completed the rescue work quickly.
Abdur Rauf, station manager of Tanor Upazila Fire Service, said, "First we searched in Tanor upazila, we did not find an excavator anywhere. After that, we brought two excavators from the neighboring upazila Mohanpur and started digging the soil. Then another high-powered excavator came to the spot around 2:30 am and the soil was being excavated quickly with that.
He also said, we hope that we will be able to complete the rescue work in a few hours.
Tanor Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) Shiv Sankar Basak, who was present at the scene around 9 am, said that since yesterday afternoon, the workers of the Fatur service are trying hard to rescue the child Sajid. The police force is also providing full cooperation to the army, ambulances and doctors are kept ready.
