Tourist Police rescued 12 missing children from different parts of the country in August. After the rescue, these children have been handed over to their relatives.
Tourist Police Chief Additional IGP Habibur Rahman told Samakal this information on Wednesday.
He said that apart from ensuring security in tourist areas, tourist police also give equal importance to humanitarian issues. The tourist police rescued 12 children who went missing from different parts of the country in the month of August and returned them to their families.
The rescued children are - Afroza Anjum (6) daughter of Gaziur Rahman of Patenga of Chittagong district, Sifat Al Hasan (6) son of Mamun Ahmed of Bhatiari Cantonment area of Bayezid, Masrur Mehraj (3) son of Mominur Rahman of Katgarh area of Patenga, Tanisha daughter of Abdul Halim of Mansurabad Double Mooring. (5), Jannat (4) daughter of Rabiul Hossain Jewel of Shulk Bahar Bird Shop area of Panchlaish police station, Habiba Akhtar (4) daughter of Khairul Islam of Agrabad; Hasan (8) son of Zahirul Islam of Morelganj police station of Bagerhat, Anti Das (09) daughter of Vipul Das of Srinagar police station of Munshiganj, Abdullah Al Arafat (3) son of Abdullah Al Mamun of Chouddagram, Comilla, Annapurna (05) daughter of Shibu Daar of Ramu police station of Cox's Bazar and Md. Meem (4) daughter of Jasim Uddin and Ayman Ali (5) son of Habibur Rahman of Laxmipur village of Faridganj police station in Chandpur.
Besides, the tourist police recovered two mobile phones and a camera in August.
