Initial squad for Singapore match with Hamza-Shamit-Fahamidul

The Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) has announced the preliminary squad for the Singapore match, including Hamza Chowdhury, Shamit Som and Fahamidul Islam.

Sumon Reza returned to the 26-man squad announced this afternoon. Sumon was in the World Cup qualifiers in March last year. This time, he returned after playing well in the Federation Cup.

Three of the 23-man final squad for the last India match - Shakil Hossain, Sohel Rana (Junior), and Chandan Roy - have been dropped.

The primary team has three goalkeepers—Mitul Marma, Sujan Hossain and Mehedi Hasan Shrawan.

Apart from goalkeeper Shraban, there are eight other footballers from Bashundhara Kings - Sheikh Morsalin, Mujibur Rahman Johnny, Saad Uddin, Sohel Rana, Tariq Kazi, Topu Barman, Faisal Ahmed Fahim and Rakib Hossain.

Bangladesh will play against Singapore in the second match of the Asian Cup qualifiers on June 10 at the National Stadium in Dhaka. For that purpose, the preparation camp will start from May 30. Before the Singapore match, Bangladesh will also play a warm-up match against Bhutan on June 4 at the same venue.

Bangladesh drew 0-0 with India in their first match in the third round of the Asian Cup qualifiers on March 25. Singapore, which is in the same group, also drew with Hong Kong. As a result, all four teams are now level on points.
