The husband and wife were hanging in the same room in Atrai upazila of Naogaon. The police recovered their hanging bodies from the house of Sudrana village in Bisha Uniton around 12 noon on Wednesday, initially it is believed to be a suicide by the police.
The deceased are Masum Ali Sardar (21) and his wife Lima Khatun (19).
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Naogaon Atrai Police Station Md. Tarekur Rahman Sarkar confirmed the truth of the incident.
The OC said that the deceased Masum Ali Sardar and his wife Lima Khatun went to sleep with their family members on Tuesday night as usual. The family members called out and the neighbors, along with the Tara, could see the bodies of the husband and wife hanging in the house, then Atrai police station informed the police at the spot and the two bodies were recovered at around 12 noon.
Initially it is considered a suicide— OC Md. Tarekur Rahman Sarkar said, ‘The bodies have been sent to Naogaon Sadar Hospital morgue for investigation. The real incident of death will be known after the maturity. Atrai police station has registered a UD case.’
