Japanese woman converts to Islam after watching husband pray

A Japanese woman named Chisato Turkmen (32) converted to Islam after being attracted by her Turkish husband's prayers and other acts of worship.

Chisato Turkmen officially converted to Islam at Darul Ifta in the Turkish province of Kotahya on Thursday (August 25). Her husband Wotan Turkmen was also present at the ceremony.

A report by Turki24 said that a ceremony was organized at Darul Ifta to mark the conversion of Chisato Turkmen to Islam. The ceremony, which began with the recitation of the Holy Quran, was initiated into Islam by the Assistant Provincial Mufti of Kütahya, Fayzullah Kozak, who recited the Kalima-e-Shahatad.

Chisato Turkmen said he had chosen his new name as 'Jinan'. After converting to Islam, he was given a copy of the Quran translated into Japanese.
